Hi Carrie,
Though we had never met Luke, or you, we knew of him, prayed for him and kept track of his life over the internet. We were so blessed to be at the service for Luke this weekend. We are so sorry this has happened to Luke and your family, and cannot understand it - never will - until we reach the same wonderful place Luke is now.
Your swimming out to the ocean with him for the last time was the most poignant and touching thing I have EVER seen. It seemed like you were saying, "God, this is as far as I can go, now I'm trusting him to You", as the ocean carried the basket away.
Meeting you was a beautiful thing for me and my sister - God's light is bursting out of you. I know we were there to comfort YOU, but I can't tell you how encouraged and lighter we felt after talking to you. You are such a beautiful person, so full of love and radiance! That James is so handsome, such a nice boy. We will continue to pray for you and your beautiful family.
Thank you for being a bright light. We grieve with you but know where he is and you will see him again!
With love, Susan Reed

God Bless you Carrie & Family! We were so sorry to hear about Luke's passing but know that he is in Heaven smiling down on us forever with no pain, no medicine, & he's finally CANCER FREE!! As a mother of a child that has gone through cancer, my heart goes out to you!! WE love you guys so much & only wish that we had more time with you & Luke up a APH!! Nick loved playing with Lukie in the playroom & we looked forward to seeing you on our "overnight visits"!! He's free now Carrie!! He's free from this horrible disease!! I know that doesn't make it any easier on you or your famliy, but Lukie is free!!!! The service was absolutly BEAUTIFUL reguardless of the rain! Seeing you walk him out into the ocean was so moving & it just goes to show you how far a mother will go for her child!!!!
WE love you all so much!!! If there is EVER anything you need, please don't hesitate to call!!!

God Bless!!!

Dear Carrie,

This is Erica from Adolf Biecker Hair Salon. I was your colorist a few times while you were here in Philadelphia. I am so very sorry about your Luke. I was very sad when I found out what had happened. You were in my thoughts and prayers then, and I will continue to keep you in my thoughts and prayers now. I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to meet you. I can only hope and pray that I can be as strong and courageous a mom as you.

For just as the sufferings of Christ flow over into our lives, so also through Christ our comfort overflows. 2 Cor. 1:5

In Christ's love,
Erica

I don't know you guy's personally but have been checking in on Luke since a student from one of my classes mentioned him a few months ago. I am so sorry for your loss. I have been so attached to the websited and I can't imagine what you are going through. He's in God's hands now and he is free of the pain that he had to endure. I hope to be a strong mom as you. My thoughts are with you and your family.
